Several Common App Questions

So I am in the process of filling out the Common App and have a few questions. I'm homeschooled so I don't have a guidance counselor to help with the process, so I'm a little unsure of what to fill in some areas.

First, for the Current Year Courses, what should I put there? I graduated this spring, and am currently enrolled at a community college as a fully matriculated freshman, however, I will be applying to colleges as a freshman and not a transfer. For the Current Year Courses section, should I put in the classes I am taking now? Or my senior year of classes? Also, I am not sure if i will do a spring semester at the CC as I won't be transferring, it makes no sense to do a whole semester for really no reason. So what should I put for the second semester section?

For extra-curriculars, I have participated in my town's rec leagues for basketball and softball. Not JV, or Varsity, so I'm not sure which category to put it under...

and I'm sure there will be more questions, but that it for now.

bump…??

1st question : First attach this explanation in the “Education” Section. Current year should be the Senior year courses and 2nd Sem you can keep it blank. Or you can do it as Junior and 2nd Sem Senior. (Not sure about this though).

2nd Question: Put this in the Additional section. And use the Activities to list the other ECs of yours.

Hope this helps a bit.

The concept of the current year courses section is just to let them know about courses that won’t show up on the transcript that is submitted with your app. There’s no point to giving them a list in that part of the app of the courses you finished last year that are on your high school transcript. I would include your current community college courses here in the first column and leave the second/third semesters blank.
