Several issues that need adressing

I'm already in university, but there have been several unresolved issues about universities plaguing these forums that I would like to discuss. The first is a frequented topic on CC; score choice.

As everyone knows several top universities don't recognize score choice, UCs, Cornell, Upenn, Yale etc. After going through a few threads on the issue it was implied that colleges cannot tell whether score choice has been abused or not, thus making is easy for students to use score choice for said universities.

Firstly, how often do you guys think this sort of academic dishonesty takes place, and do these people actually get away with it?

Secondly there have been claims that unis have this inconspicuous way of finding out the number of times you have done the SAT, and your scores. Does this statement have an legitimacy or is it simply a psychological ploy used by posters to prevent their peers from engaging in academic dishonesty and gaining a possible unfair advantage>

This next point has not been explicitly stated on CC. It would seem that certain colleges that say they require all scores yet claim to super score. Off-course an obvious explanation from universities and poster to this to this would be to make sure people aren't taking the SAT a ridiculous amount of times, and to make the application process more equal. However it could also be argued that these universities DO NOT super score and DO consider other potentially detrimental test sittings.

Finally the ACT has always allowed score choice. Does this create an unfair divide between ACT and SAT takers? ACT takers are be able to select scores and cancel old scores.

We should remember that adcoms are after all human, and it wouldn't be hard for a fleeting glance at a low first sitting to turn into an outright rejection.

Huh no replies? Guess this wasn’t the right section of CC to post in >.<

Sorry about the errors, I was slightly tipsy when I wrote this ^^.
