Several Questions about Dorming

<p>Sorry for opening up so many questions threads. I just can't seem to find any info online and everytime I call housing services it wont go through for some reason. Anyways: </p>

<li><p>Can I get textbooks shipped to my dorm mailbox? Do people usually do this or do they order it to their homes and go pick them up? </p></li>
<li><p>So is it really that we can't come any earlier than the appointed move in time? My parents have something they have to do around that time and I'm literally the only person from my high school going to UCR so I don't have anyone else to take me with them. It says on the brochure I got in the mail that they wont let me through if I come earlier. Does anyone who went earlier than when they were supposed to tell me how that went for them?</p></li>

<p>Not sure about question 2, but I can answer 1. You just send things to your mailbox. If it’s too big, like a package, then you’ll have a pink slip in there telling you it arrived. Then you just take it to the RSO and pick it up. =P</p>
