Yes, you are in and will receive official acceptance around April 1. Merit scholarship may be coming but not necessarily a 'nice' one, if you're thinking the big one. The big scholarship recipients are invited for a weekend, generally.

No, you are not automatically in an honors program.

Depends what school you're talking about. There are various honors programs.

Please note, an invitation to an on-campus program at New York University is not an offer of admission. Individuals on this board can not confirm that you have been admitted to New York University or what type of scholarship you are likely to receive.

Come on it says on the card, "for outstanding students in the entering class of 2006" that means we're in. Unless I can't understand english

it isnt an OFFER of admissions, but yeah, youre admitted. go back and read posts from other years and youll see that every single person who got an invite was accepted. however, its too hard to say about scholarships. plus, scholarship + nyu dont really go too well together...

My mom called NYU when we got that weird invite and they said that although they couldn't confirm my admission, I could be very happy about getting the letter. In other words, I'm in. Not surprising, judging from the wording of the letter.

i called too and they said i could "infer" that it meant i was accepted and that i should officially hear april 1.

wait, i got that letter today asking to stay over for the weekend april 8-9, bout a day after i got the sunday in the square thing. applied to gallatin, is that a good chance for a scholarship?

I got that same letter centrus and I was wondering the same thing as I haven't been notified about scholarships or anything for NYU. Does anyone else have any information on Gallatin's Weekend at Washington Square? Is it like Sunday at the Square?

What about the CAS Reception? Whats that mean?

I'm pretty sure that it means that you got in.

I just have a quick question to anyone who has received any invitation- Did you receive it via regular snail mail or through UPS or FedEx? I'm just curious...

Snail Mail, in an invitation envelope, as if it were for a wedding or something

UPS Next day delivery.
So matth, where was it that you heard this info, just for the record?

I received it UPS Next day delivery too.

centrus, I'm a sophomore at CAS.
