So currently,

I have a C in pre-cal honors (i'm a junior in hs. right now)

and my future just seems bleak, as in I won't be able to raise my grade up by the semester.

I am planning to major in Journalism/mass communications.

My English grade is fine, its a B+ (88/89%).

-- edit

Oh, and my other grades. they're just so... average. I don't know how i slacked off so much this year!

I know this may seem as a pathetic cry for help, but i need some facts on college as to where my math grade won't severely plummet my chance at a university.

(i'm asian, yeah. pressure is on me to go to a univ.)

So. I'm POSITIVE that in 2nd semester, I will have atleast a B in math.

I'm also taking the JAN. sat this saturday, so I'm not sure about my SAT grades.

My classes...

I take 2 AP classes (BIO and APUSH), and the rest are honors classes.
I have taken 3 years of french, and am currently taking a year course of art.

So basically. Which college is recommended for journalism/ mass comm.?

I want to work in the field of news analyst.

Help please. thanks.

northwestern for journalism and communication.

What is your GPA?
From the sound of your post, NU is a great reach for you.
Syracuse and Mizzou also have great journalism schools.

Keep in mind that a journalism degree isn't necessary for being a journalist, especially a journalist who works in print. After all, many top schools don't have journalism or communications programs. You can get a degree in a field you want to write about, like political science, IR, or government, and work at your campus newspaper/TV station while also getting internships.

a lot of schools won't hold bad math grades against you if you're not majoring in math.

You're not doing horribly so just make sure to make more of an effort to push yourself to getting grades that you will be satisfied with. There will be many colleges that want you so just make sure to apply to a good amount of safe, match, and reach schools next year. You'll be fine!

Northwestern, NYU, UNC, and UMass amherst are all schools that I've heard have great journalism programs.

NU.

I researched the college and it had a 32% acceptance rate. Phew!
Although looking at my grades, I don't have a chance... hopefully I will be granted the opportunity to attend!

Are there any other universities one would recommend?
