For those currently enrolled in the class of 2024 or considering applying to Trinity this fall, it is extremely important to look at the Instagram pages [deleted because Instagram tags are not permitted]. The pages curate over 400 stories between them about incidents of intense racism and sexual assault at Trinity, predominantly in the fraternities, but also in other places on campus.
As a current student at Trinity in conversation with my friends from other schools, I do feel that Trinity is an especially hostile place for women and POC. The fraternities, a social system that many other “peers” of Trinity eliminated decades ago, is (in my opinion) a major factor of the hostile social climate on campus.
