SF State or Sacramento State? What to doo

Hi, Thanks for taking the time to read my thread D:

Well decision time is coming up really fast (May 1st), and im stuck between San francisco state and sacramento state.

I live kind of close to san francisco, which is why i kinda want to go to sacramento, so i can have a new experience. However San Francisco is a city and i feel sacramento is too rural.

Im thinking of studying criminal justice and seeing as how Sacramento is our state capital, it seems like it would have more internship opportunities.

San francisco state seems close to home and im more familiar with my surroundings. It also has a lot of more stuff around it, restaurant, shopping smalls, etc. And I will know a lot more people that will be around me that are going to SF State and nearby community colleges

What are your thoughts? Are any of you Sf State or Sac State Alumini that can give me any advice?

Thanks :)

Bump. Any input would be appreciated

Living my whole life in the Sacramento area, I must say that I am very prejudiced against Sac State. My biggest complaint is how big of a commuter school it is. Pretty much everyone there commutes and there is virtually no social life. People in the area always joke about how Sierra (my community college) is a more socially active campus than Sac State. The location is pretty terrible as well; there isn’t anything to do at all. Personally, I would choose SF State in a heartbeat.

SF State has some great professors, I would go there too.

Do you know if there is a ranking for their criminal justice program?

there are no rankings for criminal justice programs that i know of. Anyhow most students change their majors when they go to college, so SFSU give you greater options to land in a better program.
