<p>I applied to the college, but for my essay did weave a global issue into what i wanted to major in. I wrote about alcoholism and drug abuse in the post-Soviet states, and how as a doctor i want to go back and help eradicate both. I’m not the best writer though, so hopefully they’ll see the effort i put into it (I had quite a few drafts).</p>
