I would like to Major at SFS in International Politics. Depending on where I go, my concentration is most likely going to be International Security or Security Policy. I have a lot of experience and interest in that field from debate and from the program and courses that I am in.

Thank you in advance for giving your opinions, I am worried about my SAT/ACT/Subject tests and also my GPA. We go to an incredibly competitive, and highly ranked IB school (96% Diploma Rate last year - One of the highest in the world) and the AP scores may be lacking due to the fact that our focus is not on AP at all, but on IB instead.
Thanks for your time, and good luck to everyone else.

Forgot to mention,
Weighted GPA = 7.0+ (on a 4.0 scale)

99 views and not one reply… :frowning: So sad.

250 views and still no reply! Lol! Come on guys, I want opinions pleaseee! :)

These schools are too selective to chance prospective applicants. Any senior with good scores and stats has a chance of admission. Look at the class profile for the class of 2015 at [Student Profile - Office of Undergraduate Admissions](http://uadmissions.georgetown.edu/firstyear/studentprofile/)

As you will see, admission rates range from approximately 16% to 20%. Actual matriculation rates are less than 10%. While not stated in the linked stats, of the 1,624 new freshmen in this year’s class, 791 were first, second or third in their HS class. That is nearly half of the entering class. That statistic was part of the Convocation address given this past Tuesday. If you really like the school, polish your essays, have a great alumni interview, and get the best letters of recommendation you can get. Good luck.

your essays will matter most.

Georgetown is set apart from its peers in that it takes special interest in students who exhibit passions for community service, social justice, being part of an international community, and spiritual curiosity.
