SFS is my dream school and I know I will be applying EA. I currently take Spanish and just started taking Hindi classes on the side. However, there is no possible way i can take Spanish next year because of a scheduling conflict. (The Spanish course is a Spanish literature course). Will this hurt my chances of being accepted? Should I bother taking the Spanish SAT II?

Well, your guidance counselor should explain this to them in her recommendation. Also, I would encourage you to take the SAT II if you feel like you are prepared and would do well. Let them know that you are still keeping up with your Spanish and pursuing it on your own...it could even be beneficial if you do well enough.

I got into SFS this year w/o taking the SAT II Spanish test or an AP class in Spanish. However, I did note that I didn't take the AP class due to a scheduling conflict like yourself. So its not necessary, but all my other stats were very good (rank 1/178, 4.00 uw, 1500 SAT), so maybe I'm the exception, I don't know.

it shouldn't be too much of a problem if you did well in your previous spanish classes. (so they know you're not quitting b/c u stink at it.) don't fret!
