SFS vs. Georgetown College?

So, I'm a rising senior with my heart set on a career in a politics, and I am applying to Georgetown. But I am wondering whether I should apply to the College or to the SFS. I've read about the undergrad programs at SFS and while I understand it is a very superb school, the whole thing seems to be geared more toward international affairs.

Being that I am really just interested in domestic politics here in the United States, should I apply to the SFS or the College, and why? What would be the pros and cons of each, and how do the two compare in terms of internship and post-graduate opportunities? Which one do you think will serve me better in my career path?

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks a bunch! :)

Hey! I am heading into my freshman year and was in the exact same problem. I chose the College because from what I learned from talking to students I can basically take all the SFS classes as well as domestic politics issues so there’s a balance (like an IR concentration in a government major). However SFS is world renowned. So after this year I’ll decide if I want to transfer into SFS depending on what I love most haha
