I have been admitted to San Francisco State and will most likely go there. I applied to the nursing program as a freshman. I just wanted to get some general feedback SFSU and their nursing program. Thanks
where are you from?
i live near SFSU and it’s a commuter school but it’s an exciting city so you can always find something to do. rent is insanely expensive here so it might be hard to find an affordable apartment after you dorm. minimum wage is $13 and generally the salaries here are very high so that’s pretty amazing too if you want to find a part time job!
nursing is a 2+2 program at SFSU so you’ll have to re-apply to the major after your sophomore year. so make sure to keep your grades up!! good luck! also visit the campus and ask a lot of questions to make sure it feels right to you!
@liquidsugar - do you have a range of what students are paying for apartments after dorm life? Also, is there affordable off-campus housing near the campus?
@bookguy i don’t actually go to SFSU, i just live in the city. but the average one bedroom apartment here costs $3,500 per month - not sure if it differs around the campus, sorry!
i live in southern california and I plan to visit over my spring break. I know housing on campus is limited and rent is high in SF, so I hope I dont run into any problems with that. Thank you for your feedback!
