SFSU online status says admitted but no letter in the mail?

Hi!

I went online to check my application today and this is what it reads:

"Application Status
ADMITTED

ADMISSION STATUS
Your admission is CONDITIONAL based on information provided on your admission application. Failure to clear admission conditions can result in an administrative reversal of the admission decision and/or drop of your class schedule."

I'm probably just being overly anxious because I REALLY want to go to SFSU, but what exactly does "conditional" mean? Are they just going to verify that my transcripts match up with what I put in my application and then I'm good to go?

Also, I have yet to receive anything in the mail, even though they state on their website that I should receive news in the mail within 3 weeks of my application. It has been exactly one month since I applied.

I applied for Spring 2014, btw. Any replies are appreciated!

Pick up the telephone. Why do you think any internet strangers are able to give you anything beyond a guess?

“Conditional” means you do the following (and applies to every single college acceptance for every person):

1) continue your coursework (i.e. don’t drop all your honors courses and take 1 credit and 3 study halls and lunch)

2) no Ds or Fs

3) no felonies before next Sept

4) none of your submitted materials are fraudulent.

Hopefully you’re not leaning towards any of these. Then you’ll be fine. Congrats.

Sometimes, there is a GPA requirement beyond not getting D or F grades.

Your final high school transcript will be used to verify self-reported courses and grades, and verify that you did well enough in reported senior year course work.

If you are a transfer student, conditions would apply to your self-reported college courses and grades, and the transcript from your college will be used to verify them.

I guess I sort of answered my own question about the “conditional” factor, but just wanted to make sure. Thanks for answering. FYI, I am a transfer student.

Have any SFSU Spring applicants received the acceptance letter/package in the mail yet?
