SFSU or HSU??

Hello!

I am an Environmental Studies Major.
I am applying to San Francisco State & Humboldt State.
I am a CC transfer student from SoCal, & I LOVE NorCal.

Here are my pros & cons:

SFSU- Pros: I love the city of SF!! Fewer classes I need to take to graduate. I want to intern at the California Academy of Science. I will never be bored, & I get to experience one of the greatest cities of the world.
Cons: Impacted!! & Expensive!! (I would have to live in Richmond with my fiance to even afford an apartment for 1000 per month.)

HSU- Pros: Beautiful campus. Known for their Environmental Programs. Cheaper living (like 700 per month for an apartment.)
Cons: More classes I need to take to graduate. I usually get bored pretty easily. Expensive to go back to SoCal to visit family every year.

I have researched so many sites reading hundreds of reviews from students. I don't want to make the wrong choice. My plan is to graduate with my B.A in Environmental Studies then probably go get my teaching credentials & Masters from the Bay Institute so I can become an environmental private school teacher

Any advice is much appreciative!

I don’t have too much knowledge of either schools, but I would say Humboldt. I know someone who went to SFSU and didn’t have a great experience with the school in general and ended up transferring out. Although, SF is definitely an amazing city to live in! Humboldt has a much more beautiful campus and I think it’s better for what you plan to major in, environmental studies.
