Applied: I applied on October 28,2014 for fall 2015

I was on SFSU student portal today and right next to my application status, there was a button that said 'accept/decline'

I got super excited and thought I got accepted already and clicked the 'I accept' button. After a few hours, I wondered why I didn't get an acceptance letter in the mail so I did some research and people said that if I'm looking forward to financial aid, I shouldn't have clicked 'I accept', because I might not get enough financial aid. I really need financial aid and I'm very dependent on it. I just need a confirmation if I'm okay or not. I haven't applied for fafsa yet, obviously. If I'm not okay, can I call the admission office and have them wait until I hear my fafsa offer? Thank you!

**After I clicked 'I accept,' it said " We are pleased to grant you admission to following program(s)..." & it just showed me a chart that showed my academic institute, term, academic career, program, & application number." Then the accept/decline button disappeared from the student portal.

That option showed up on my portal too, but I’m waiting to hear back from other schools before deciding so I just clicked the previous button instead of accept or decline yet and my app still has the accept/decline option on it, but i was researching their admissions and it says that when you click your decision on the website that the button will go away I’m not sure of financial aid, but I definitely feel like they would still accept financial aid and if not just call and talk to them sorry if that wasn’t much help but congrats! Hopefully I see you there!

Mine also says accept or decline but it has been about 2 weeks and still nothing in the mail. When did you get the letter and how do I know which major I got accepted to?

@Jess22: Check your spam folder first before calling. If you have the ACCEPT/DECLINE button, it means you have been admitted plus you usually have to pay an enrollment fee.

Some Cal States will send an email prior to a " snail mail" letter, so check your spam folder and portal first. I know that several Cal States such as CPP, SJSU and CSULB never sent physical letters, just email acceptances.

@Jess22 I got an actual letter mail. Major is Computer Science for local transfer. It’s written on the letter. Yours is probably coming your way!

Someone mind taking a screen shot of how they were able to look at their application status? Because I’m not sure if I’m looking at the right thing.

@selkinorcc on January 11 I got accepted and I never clicked accept or decline, now when I checked on it, the “accept/decline” seems to have disappeared as I just checked on my sf student center today. But I did get a letter in the mail about a week or two ago… So I’m not quite sure what is happening, and why it disappeared.
okay so this happened to me to. I’m getting a little nervous. I clicked the button a while ago but i never actually clicked accept or decline, then i got my acceptance letter about 2 weeks ago. On the letter it said that the time period to accept admission offer (aao) is from april 1st to may 1st. so i think we’re fine. but if anyone knows what’s going on (missing accept/decline button) please shine some light on this.
This may be the wrong thread, but I’m having trouble seeing the “decisions” status
I don’t know if it’s pending or rejected or what.
Can anybody help me with this?
