I graduated high school 2 years ago and have been working instead of going to school. I'm starting community college in the fall and want to transfer up to San Francisco State within 2 years. What is the average transfer GPA for a non-local (I'm in SoCal) student AND how much does it all cost? Also, is it cheaper to do on campus or off campus housing? I realize housing in SF is expensive and I know even if I had a part time job at some store in Union Square that I probably wouldn't be able to afford living alone or even with a roomie. Is it just cheaper to try and get on campus housing? OR if necessary should I look at apts out of SF and just drive to campus since I have my own car?
