Hi everyone, I just got accepted to SFSU and I’m very excited to attend!
I just started doing my research again since I’m now getting everything prepared before I submit all my paperwork. I currently attend Los Angeles Community College and have 3 more classes left to take before transfer.
I noticed that the SF State site mentions that 12 units are needed to complete the general education on section A which are:
Oral Communication (check)
1st year English ( check)
2nd year English
critical thinking (taking in the spring)
On assist.org it mentions that either course can be taken. I am concern since I may not take the 2nd year English, my admissions may be revoked. Does anyone know if I may take the course at SFSU after transfer or is it necessary to take both classes before transfer? I am confused now since SFSU website and assist.org are saying two different things. Not to mention that my education plan from my LACC counselor also states on the form that either class may be taken as well. I just want to be sure I dont get my admissions revoked.
This is the type of question that is best for the SFSU admissions office. Someone here may know, but I would want to get this information directly from the university. Send an email and if you do not hear back, you can always call the admissions office.
Have you guys filed all the attachments to SFSU? I have a question about the completeness of the transcripts. I have one more semester to tranfer. So should my transcript includes the courses in progress? Or I should file the grades from the very first semester to fall 2016? Or just fall 2016 single one semester’s grades? Please reply.
