SFSU vs SJSU

I need HELP deciding!
I'm in desperate need of information to decide.

Alright, so here's my situation:

I'm currently a commuting freshman at SJSU, and i'm not liking it a bit. I plan to major in business (not sure what concentration yet) or computer engineering.

I really want to transfer to SFSU. My friend goes there and i visit the campus frequently. I've even sat in a few of the classes. I like the general feel of the campus. But if i plan to do engineering, would i be losing a lot since SJSU is supposed to be good for engineering? Or is SFSU's engineering close to as good, or even better than SJSU's?

What about business? How is business at SFSU compared to SJSU? I'm not really concerned with the prestige of the schools at this point. I just want to know where i'll get the better education for either business or engineering and if the two levels of education for the majors are that much different.

THANKS!!

bumpity bump

From what I hear San Jose is much better in Engineering. In fact, I didn't even know San Fran offered engineering. Business? I don't know but I'm guessing San Jose too. San Jose is rank pretty high for non doctoral schools, just behind Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and Harvey Mudd, plus they just got a bunch of money to give their engineering students too. Btw, what's wrong with San Jose? That's one of the schools I applied for IE.

Do you commute to SJSU from your permanent home? I've always been under the impression that most people that attend SJSU also live in that area. If so, there is really no reason to go out as far as SF, where you would likely need separate housing. How much are you willing to pay for a better "general feel" anyway?

I would think SJSU would be the better choice for CPE; after all, SJ is the heart of the silicon valley. I'm not sure about either of their business programs, but I doubt the difference in quality is great enough to justify choosing a "less desirable" school over a "more desirable" one. In terms of atmosphere, I've visited both schools and from that very limited experience didn't feel they were all too different. TBH, I didn't really like either. But hey, fit is personal.

CPE and buis are very different things--and likewise the two schools in consideration. I just think you need to give yourself some more time experimenting and ironing your decisions out. in any case best of luck to you.
