SHA Interview

Hi,

I’m going to be visiting Cornell for an interview w/ SHA this month and would love some feedback before I go in. Is anyone else planning to visit? Or has anyone participated in an interview before? If so, how long did it take and how was your overall experience?

Hello,

I am a current student in the hotel school. Don’t stress about the interview. But do dress up in business clothing (blazer and dress, blazer and skirt, etc). It usually won’t last longer than a half hour. Mine was about 20 min. They’ll ask you questions about why you think you are a fit for the hotel school, what made you decide to apply, etc. Then make sure you have a question or two about the hotel school or Cornell prepared, or a question about something that may have come up during the interview.

My interviewer was very nice and the question you ask usually turns into a small conversation (at least it did for me). It was a great experience.
