I am a Canadian high school student and want to apply for a US college after graduation. I received an invitation from for Summer@Brown. Would it be a good experience?Would the experience benefit for future application?

Most likely to the first question. Not at all to the second.

“Demonstrated interest,” is something that some institutions take into consideration when reviewing apps and others do not(I’m not really sure about Brown). However, having the “Summer@Brown,” experience on your EC/activities portions of your commonapp could help show adcoms that you’ve done work/activities on a university level and an “experienced,” student is always preferable to one that isn’t(provided all other stats/hooks are equal).

I say go, you’ll probably be a better student for the experience. My D spent 2 summers at Carnegie Mellon and it made her a fantastic student.
