What’s the best kind of bag to use to carry books around for classes? Do most people go with a typical Jansport? Or something else?

a lot of people use backpacks and messenger/tote bags of a variety of brands. ive seen a lot of northface and timbuk2. just be aware that if you’re going to be out all day and you have your laptop, you may want something a little bit more comfy or something with padding.

I have a Dakine backpack with a padded laptop pocket and it’s pretty much perfect. I also have a couple of simple tote bags for when I’m not taking the laptop with me.

I used a tote bag. A lot of people use Jansport or Northface backpacks.

If you don’t have many back to back classes a pocketbook/hand bag might even be fine depending on the class because for most classes you will only need a notebook, binder or laptop.

If you have many back to back classes then you will need something larger like a backpack to hold all of your books for your classes

I really didn’t know people paid much attention to backpack brands. Anything will do, trust me-- but ones with cushioned laptop compartments are especially useful.

North Face works well and its pretty universal.

I carry an L.L. Bean bookbag.
