Share Freshman Year Advice!

<p>I'm still trying to make up my mind about going and am also waiting for Stanford's decision. I live in California, and I know nobody in New York!</p>

<p>But I got into Cornell, so I'm happy about that! Let's share college tips for our freshman year. I don't know much, but here's what people have told me: New York is so much colder than California, so buy a lot of sweaters, jackets, and winter boots. Also familiarize yourself with the campus before school starts. And if you can, get your professors to know you well.</p>

<p>Hope you don’t mind answering this…but when did you get news of your acceptance? and how? was it on the selfservice system? email?</p>

<p>I got my acceptance on march 5th i think. It came in a very thin envelope in the mail and looks like a rejection letter until you open it up. I never got any notice online, so be checking the mail closely!</p>
