^I think your key club is better than any key club I know. I praise your key club for doing community service that directly benefit your community.

What is its purpose though? How does it differentiate from CSF or Interact?

Key Club is a community service club. At my school, Key Club does only fundraising event, such as UNICEF, Relay for Life, and Awake-a-thon. These fundraising event gives money to like research center for cancer and diabetes.

However, I don’t like the Key Club at my school because they have too much fun: they get community service for going to an amusement party and partying. Moreover, I feel that Key Club should benefit the community more directly.

At my old school, CSF serves more as a community service club as well. The sole way to obtain points, something necessary to remain in the club, is to attend two scheduled volunteer events. However, the events aren’t notorious for being beneficial for the community itself. The number of volunteers scheduled towards the event typically exceeds the number preferable, something that initiates waitlists. Yes, volunteer spots are so competitive where I live to the point in which there are waitlists. Volunteering has become more like a privilege to pad applications than to benefit the community directly, which kind of defeats the point.

At my school Key Club is the largest, richest (and I mean $$$$$), most well-known club on campus. It’s also home to one of the “best” KCs in our area, with a couple of officers working for the HQ and stuffz. But the club itself?? It’s all about fun. Sure, there’s a lot of “volunteering” events that they tell you about, but no one goes to them, not even many of the officers. People just want to have fun with their friends while “volunteering” at stuff like the Rose Float decorating, beach cleanups, and -insertdisease- Walks/Relays. Oh, and most only join because you get to go to Six Flags.

And don’t take me wrong, I have nothing against these people. I only paid my dues for KC cos they forced me to after I went with them to Six Flags. And I don’t go to meetings and only go to the fun events lol.

speaking of key club, i have recently began getting email updates from key club (i dont ever remember signing up for the club itself)

at my school there’s a crap load of volunteering clubs, octagon, interact, csf, key, redcross…etc. they are do pretty much the same thing so yeah, nothing really special about the keyclub in my school.

haha a whole bunch of people at my school dissatisfied with the fun nature of key club and that the community service events weren’t strong enough disbanded and we formed Lock Club and instead of relay for life and awake-a-thon we work directly with the community service department and the local elderly center more individually based but organized and monitored through the club.

Key Club VP? Do you enjoy sucking dick?

Key Club can be not only an open door for those who wants to serve their community as dedicated members but for those who can think of committing petty crimes. I was a former Key Club VP myself back in 2010 and I had members stealing from those who request help from various events. Not only the members, but several Officers had been involved. I witness our KC Treasurer took about 60 to 80 dollars when he was task with gathering up the money that was for Fall Rally, soon after she was caught, she was immediately removed as treasurer but not arrested which doesn’t please me that much. She wasn’t the only one involved in doing that type of scandal, our KC President and Secretary were like masterminds behind it. Everything I believed in KC was gone. It’s like I unwittingly helped a Criminal Organization. The hell with Key Club, I don’t think it help shit. It’s gonna let more petty criminals spread corruption within the Organization itself.
Love KC Hates! Love KC Hates!
Sorry about this sara12, but Key Club is a menace, sooner or later, corruption will take the best of it.
