Hi, all!!

I'm freshman at CCC, wanting to transfer to UCLA DMA / UCSD Visual Art (Media). I realized there isn't much art classes I can take at CCC and prefer to transfer as sophomore. However, I can't get 90 quarter credits by Spring for UC requirement. I'm contemplating whether to apply transfer as sophomore to art school (eg. Otis, SCAD, etc) OR wait another year at CCC (completing my IGETC) and hopefully can get into UCLA/UCSD.

I haven't found much info/posting about transferring to UCs for Art major, and would like to know more success stories from fellow art majors. Please share:

Your current school & major: (eg. UCLA DMA)

Transfer from: (eg. CCC/ X Art School)

Transfer GPA: (eg. 3.7)

Transfer credits: (eg. less/more than 60 semester/90 quarter units)

ECs, internship, etc

Any suggestions, recommendation, experience about preparing portfolio, applying, choosing school? Did you have to retake your art classes? (eg. drawing, form, colors)

Thanks a lot, guys!!
