I hear all of you on the waiting…it will all be over in a few weeks but it is maddening. We may need to throw together visits to the east and west coast before May 1st and would rather save the $$$ for college.

My son got a call tonight that he was accepted into UC San Diego’s Theatre program (non audition). It was one of his two non-audition safety schools. The other one (Muhlenberg) sent a letter yesterday saying the letters will go out next week…really? Just to keep all of the suspense going…

One of my son’s top choices is sending rejection letters this week through USPS, another school “may” be sending acceptance letters this week via USPS…
When I open the mailbox, I feel like I’m defusing a bomb, never knowing what to expect.
Keeping fingers crossed for those waiting for Chapman.

Lol in the bomb analogy. I am letting my son get the mail since I can’t open it anyways. Good luck on Chapman. Who did you hear was notifying this week…we are still waiting on quite a few too…

@compadv - we are waiting on Muhlenberg too. We got that letter. It made me laugh. I know they must know by now that they are admitting my D. Charlie Richter asked her stats during the audition and said she’d get in. They contacted her in January about the honors college, which you have to be selected for. Then an admissions officer wrote and asked her to come visit campus, etc, etc. (We have been to visit 4 times) When I got the letter I felt like saying “come on already! This is just silly.”

@dramam0804…it does seem a bit silly to create all of this suspense but maybe they want to notify everyone at once so as not to get tons of phone calls from stressed out parents and kids…lol

We’re waiting on 9… Some of the schools send fin aid packages out at the same time if I recall so that holds them up a bit. April will be a frenzy of travel. Really I don’t think any decisions were expected before mid March, but as soon as the calendar page turned we have been on edge and obsessing over mail and media in our house!

@5boys. I originally downloaded the app from the App Store. It hasn’t worked for weeks though, ever since the CC update. I clicked on it yesterday though and suddenly it is working again!

Just thought you need to know that not all acceptances come in thick envelopes! All my son’s acceptances last year were in thin envelopes with the thicker ones following. So do not get upset if you get a thin one!!!

Bisouu, my daughter is still waiting on her 5 top choices, though I am pretty sure by now CalArts and Fordham are a “no”. Unlike her, I am already packing, lol. She told me she is 90% sure she chooses the New School, she absolutely loved it there during her on-campus audition and the tour. Too bad she can’t visit MMC accepted students week-end because she is still at home on spring break. Her HS friends will be there, so she will get some feedback I suppose. I will be happy if she settles for NYC, much easier for me to visit her than the West Coast.

Son just got a call! He’s been accepted to PACE for BFA acting! Ready, set, go! Time to start planning how to visit!!
Does anyone know how long after a call to expect financial information?

@octaviar - thanks for the good acceptance vibes! We’re on the west coast too (adjacent - lol), so my D is still at school as well. But no call thus far.
