Thank you connections. This in one of the schools my daughter is really interested in attending. Maybe I will talk to them myself and make sure they are following the rules you so graciously linked in your post. I hate to think the whole school is not ethical.

unrelated to above posts but glad to be back. i was one of those folks who got knocked out with transition on Saturday that cc has now fixed :)

Hi, I’m not sure if this is the right place to post, but I’m a new member who’s been a lurker for many months. I have really enjoyed the information I’ve found here, and I’ve finally decided it would be nice to jump into the conversation. My son has been accepted to Chapman BFA Screen Acting and UArts BFA Acting. He auditioned for BU this summer, and he’s going to audition for USC, NYU, CMU, DePaul, and Juilliard this week at Chicago Unifieds. He is really looking forward to the audition process, and I’m hoping it all goes well. I’ll post on the audition story thread as things go along.

Welcome, itsthejourney. Good luck to your son! He has a couple of great acceptances already. Was he at BUSTI last summer? Let us know how things go. By the way, your avatar is gorgeous! :)

Thank you. Yes, he was at BUSTI and it was the best experience of his life. LOVED it!

I did BUSTI as well, but two summers ago, it was a phenomenal experience. Even almost two years later I still get together with the friends I made there regularly.

Hi it’sthejourney. My D has been accepted to UArts too, and we will also be in Chicago this week! She is auditioning for DePaul too. What day are you? Maybe we will see each other. :-)

After just 3 auditions at Unifieds I need a case of wine…4 more to go. My daughter is a trooper and doesn’t seem to be fazed at all. Me on the other hand, I want to throw up…

I really think that it is somewhat worse on the parents…stay strong, Bisouu, you are in the homestretch. You need to save your strength for the waiting…

Bisouu - Four more auditions or cases of wine to go?? Hang in there, you will feel great when the auditions are done, or very hung over!!

I wish I drank wine, bisouu. As I’ve gotten older, my body has reacted against alcohol, sadly, and I can’t drink much at all, even a half a glass. I sure could use some! My son has two more to go, in early March. The waiting is very stressful to me.

Today was a much more relaxing day…Purchase and Montclair went great and she came out of both auditions smiling and energized. One more tomorrow and we are done!!

Glad you guys had a nice day, bissou! What is the last one you are doing?

Has anyone heard if “no” letters have gone out yet for kids who auditioned for UNCSA on campus on Jan 15 or 16? They said it would be 2 weeks, or maybe 3 at the most. Today marks three weeks. I’m guessing if we don’t have a letter by next Saturday we are in the clear and she is still in the running.

dramamom0804, I was wondering the same thing!

Keeping fingers crossed for dramamom0804 and connections kids! Son auditioned for UNCSA in Chicago. Son liked it a lot, Dad is in love!

Fingers crossed for us all! :-)

Emerson is her last one today <3

Break a leg!

Break a leg for D at Emerson!!
