sharp and monroe

just a couple questions about the freshmen dorms. has sharp been renovated lately? or is monroe still a little nicer? are there any real differences between the two dorms? (ie closeness to the cafeteria, etc)

basically im trying to decide between these two- are there any reasons why i should choose one over the other? thanks

Monroe and Sharp are roughly the same. I live in Monroe and I would say a good thing about Monroe is the view you get if you are lucky and get a high floor (8-12). The bad thing is that there are 2 elevators for 12 floors. Sharp has extra storage space - there are little cupboards above the beds and 2 elevators for 7 floors. Frankly you can't go wrong with either dorm. They are both known as the "social" dorms. Sharp is slightly closer to the meal plan cafeteria but Monroe is slightly closer to the student center (the LBC) that has the pay-to-eat options. The distances are negligible, they are right next to each other. I would recommend Monroe over Sharp, but you can't go wrong with either.

you could easily throw a rock from monroe and hit sharp.

inside they are somewhat identical, except for some minor details.

Monroe has much fewer students per floor, so if you are looking for a more intinate experience, go Monroe. Sharp has a bigger group of students per floor so there is always someone to go eat or hang out with. Monroe has the more recent renovations.
