She did it! Georgetown EA acceptance!

To say I'm on cloud nine is an understatement! Today daughter recieved her acceptance to Georgetown, her 1st choice school. I'm overcome with pride, and am SO happy for her! She worked hard, set a goal, and the agony that has been the last several months is finally over!

Thanks to all the parents who've given advice and help. Anyone remember the bribe of those $100 puma shoes for the SAT IIs? LOL Didn't get the shoes, but scores must have been good enough!

I of course cried tears of joy with her. Later this evening, tears started flowing again when she looked over to me and said "Mom, I could never have done this without you!" WOW!

I'm so proud and it is wonderful to share this happy news with all of you supportive parents!

Wonderful! This is what is so good about EA

So happy for you! You'll never forget this day.

Congratulations. :)

Wow, that's so great. Congratulations! The acceptance is better than the shoes any day!!

Wonderful news :)

Yay! That is terrific news! Relish in the moment.

There is quite a lot of positive news this week on the Parents Forum. What an accomplished bunch of kids. I recall lots of folks being done early last year at this time and we had to hang in there until April 15 to hear from ALL of my daughter's colleges, and it felt like we were the last to know on this forum.....so, well, hang in there this year again with me as I am on kid #2 and it ain't gonna be over 'til then.....so be happy you guys are DONE....and did it so well.

Many happy thoughts to you all!
Susan

Sounds like someone might be getting new Puma's soon! :-)

Congratulations!

Thanks for all the kind words. I'm still floating with joy. Daughter had to take two finals today - I hope she can concentrate better than me! LOL

Don't worry, Susan, I won't be going anywhere! I feel attached to so many other kids (and parents) through this board, I've got to keep following their stories, and putting in my two cents here and there.

She has also applied to a few other schools (including Brown) that we'll wait to hear, but I think Georgetown is the one for her.

Congratulations!

Congratulations

congrates :)

Oh, that's AWESOME! My brother graduated from Georgetown's SFS. He really enjoyed his tenure there! Congratulations! ~berurah
