Sheldon Court any info appreciated

Hi. I was assigned to Sheldon Court double for the upcoming year. I'm a transfer student, so I have absolutely no idea about this building. How are the room size, furnitures, bathrooms, etc.

Anything about Sheldon is much appreciated!

Im a tranfer too (2013.) im in a single: 0219. All I found was a little room diagram on their website.

[Housing - Sheldon Court](<a href=“Housing | Student & Campus Life | Cornell University”>Housing | Student & Campus Life | Cornell University)

Itried to see the floor plan, but even using your login doesnt work. I called and they said they limit access to floor plans ever since 9/11…

anybody have any other info about Sheldon?

Sheldon is located near Schwartz and very close to CTB (Collegetown Bagels). I personally think it’s the closest dorm to school (especially if you are an engineer) of course with the exception for people living in the law school dorm.

The floor plan is only available at the housing office. So, there is no way that you would be able to access it thru the web.

@Radlinsky Yea, that little housing website didn’t help much…

@fri3nds04 Nice. I’m an ECE major, so the proximity is definitely a plus.

@F4LCON One of my friends says he got all the floor plans last year from someone on dc++ when he was deciding where to live. Hopefully he still has them, I’ll let you know.

and yeah I dont know what dc++ is lol

dc++ is the p2p sharing system that only works with on-campus internet. Be careful with what you share there though!

@fri3nd haha thanks man, ill keep that in mind

Bump.

Anyone who goes to/went to Cornell have any information about Sheldon Court?

@F4alcon I couldn’t find the floor plans, ah well.

@Radlinsky: That’s fine. I read on a previous thread that rooms in Sheldon are smaller than those in other dorms. Is this true?

the room I saw in Sheldon seemed plenty large, definitely not anything to complain about…the person living in it thought it was adequate for her and her roommate.
