She's in!

Go cc '10ers!

Congratulations! I'm surprised you didn't hold the envelope up to the light (what my H did last year).

Congrats!! My son's first acceptance came last year about this time from Wisconsin, with a big "YES!" on the back of the envelope. I'm now a lifetime Wisconsin fan - I root for their football team each weekend:) Wisconsin will definitely be on Kid #2's list too.

i don't think they should print it on the envelopes... it's less of a surprise that way, unless they did the old switcheroo and gave a rejection letter inside of a congratulations envelope... that would be harsh

hey congrats to your daughter! it's a good feeling to know you've been accepted somewhere! I too just got my first acceptance letter, From Sacramento State! my safty, yes, but still i'm happy to know that I have somewhere to go next year if all else fails..

hey same here! rutgers... douglass cook livingston and engineering, and boy it feels good...

awwwwww, yankeegirl, that's SO awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!! That first one really brings a HUGE flood of relief, doesn't it? CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!! Enjoy the sweet success! ~berurah

berurah, good to see you! How's the newest Blue Devil doing?

Congratulations!!!

Congrats...Penn State is awesome!

She is already dreading making the actual final decision, she loves all the schools she applied to.

Congratulations. It sounds like she put together the perfect list. This is the way it should be.

Congratulations to your daughter!! My daughter is an Animal Science major and a junior at Penn State. Penn State was her first choice. What a celebration we had when the envelope came. My son is now a senior and has received 2 acceptance letters to Pennsylvania state schools and 1 in Ohio and they came in small envelopes. We are hoping for Penn State Altoona, a better fit for him to start out with. When did your daughter apply? Many kids in our high school are still waiting for their envelope. They applied in early September.

Thanks again everyone...it really is exciting!!!
My daughter applied the 1st week of Oct. They told her online on 11/8 that the letter was in the mail, it took over a week to get here.

CollegeMom has started an ongoing thread on college news so I'm going to close all individual acceptance threads so the board doesn't get cluttered. Congratulations to all!
