They've hit!! I haven't had bad shin splints since eighth grade and OF COURSE they hit two months before I-Day!! Well, I know the drill, so everyone pray for me as I ice and pop advil faithfully and hopefully they shall disappear!!

Pain is but a feeling, Feelings pass with time, ...and time passes. Therefore, pain is just a strain on the brain without refrain.

Or it's an indicator of a serious medical condition.

If you said you can ride out soreness, being winded or cramps, I'd agree.

But saying that shin splints is just pain and can be ridden out is equivalent of saying that you can ride out a broken bone.

I can tell you've been waiting to use that quote, but this is the wrong place.

then you'll appreciate the last line that I left off. "That's why wrestlers are insane!!" :-)

I've recieved shin splints before and they are a pain in the rear. The best thing you can do is to strech out your calf muscles really well and ice your shins. The reason for the shin splints is because the calf muscles of the leg are pulling back on the shins creating pressure. So just strech them and ice it and it'll be better in no time
