Shipman

Should I send in my SAT score of 2210, and SAT II's of 800(Math 1c),800(Math 2c),780(Chem),760(Phys) or do they look worse than my ACT score?

Thanks, Alexandre. You are a great source of info!

Definitely send in all your scores. It cannot hurt since they are all excellent. Especially if your Verbal and Math combined is over 1500. Michigan does not consider the W section of the SAT.

Wow, I'm in a very similar position, looking for this scholarship (I only have a 2240 SAT, but I'll retake my SAT for a 2350 on October 14th), but apply by Sep. 15th:
Questions
1. When should U of M accept/reject me (i.e: what day will I know my status?)?
2. If I am accepted, how long will it take until the scholarships (especially Shipman) arrive?
3. Will my new SAT make a difference in the scholarship process, or will it be too late, since I'd have been already accepted? The SAT score will be sent to U of M after approximately December 1st.
4. Say my SAT score is sent to U of M? Will it reflag my application to be looked at for scholarships?
5. is it bad to take the SAT three times? does U of M just look at these people and say, "he's too obsessed with standardized testing"?
6. How competitive am I with 2240 SAT, and 34 ACT for this scholarship?

Sorry..... lol....... confused here.

Last year I applied early (but not that early, towards late September. I wasn't the first in my school to apply by any means.) I found out I got in about mid-late October I believe. I honestly don't think this makes a difference.

About the week before Christmas I got an "engineering scholarship of honor." About four days later I got the Shipman letter.

Obviously I don't personally know this, but I wouldn't stress out the scores too much. Seriously. If you retake, great, if not, also great. I don't think that either way it will make a huge difference. I would concentrate on writing an interesting essay and passing myself on as a very interesting person in the app. That could make all the difference in the world.
