Do Fedex, UPS, etc. ship to dorms?

Don’t think so. Just get a P.O. Box. They’re only like $30 for 6 months.

Fedex and UPS don’t ship to PO boxes…

Then they send your packages to your directly to your dorm (don’t know how, probably have to put dorm/room number down). I’ve always had my packages sent to my P.O. Box…maybe none of the carriers were Fedex or UPS for me. Weird.

actually:

On-campus residents may rent mailboxes, buy postage, and ship packages in the
Commons Lobby or at the Northgate Post Office. Box sizes, rental rates and hours of
operation vary. Mail is not delivered to students rooms, however, UPS, Fed. Ex and other
package delivery service companies will make deliveries to your room.

The physical shipping address for Fed. Ex. UPS, etc is
Name
Residence Hall Name and Room Number
Texas A&M University
College Station, TX 77840-9500

under services -> mail services

I was informed that FedEx was the only carrier that delivers to the dorms and that the recipient has to be there as the carrier will not leave the package in the hall at the door. Can anyone confirm?

We have packages shipped and delivered by FedEx and UPS with no problem. The package once was delivered to the RA staff. Other times to his neigbour dorm mates. Since packages all have to be signed, you can tract the status via shipper web site. Make sure you put your cell phone on the address for contact information.
The shipper may question your address, since it does not have “street” information. It is correct as posted. I am not sure about the zip code, as Clement Hall has a different zip. Perhaps it depends on the location of the dorm, but don’t code me on that. Best is visit the “reslife” web link and contact the Hall staff.
