How does shipping to harvard work? The laptop I ordered online keeps on getting delayed, meaning I'll probably have to tell UPS to ship it to harvard instead. Is this a good idea or is shipping a laptop there not safe? And how will I know when the shipment gets there? Will they send me an email?

You can just send it to your HYMC mailbox. The mailroom office will put a package slip in your mailbox and you can pick it up from the office. However, I think with move-in, they place packages in the upper floors of the science center since many people are shipping ahead. Though be careful not to ship ahead too early, though I think with September around the corner, shipping ahead should be fine by now. And yes, shipping is quite safe, many people do send various valuables through the mail.

We have shipped LOTS of things to the Harvard Yard Mail Center address on your rooming assignment letter. Everytime Harvard receives another pkg they send my son an e-mail to his Harvard e-mail add to let him know. We will pick up all items on move in day.

I’d call UPS to track to package and see where it is now.

Hope this help!
