<p>alright, i hate when people make long posts about their "chances" so I'll try to be concise. Applying to CALS bioengineering ED. ..from california
asian:indian
our school district is number 2 in state..so good school</p>

<p>other schools: Dartmouth, Claremont Mckenna College, Harvey Mudd, UCB, UCLA, UCD, UCSD, Upenn, Emory(mom went their for medical school and fellowship)</p>

<p>SAT 2: Biology: 720 SAT 1: 700M, 720V
Writing: 700
Math 2c: 700
GPA: (no ranking in our school) 3.5UW (3.8W).....kinda worried about that but
toughest courses though...
7 AP's: AP English Language-4, AP calc AB-4, Ap calc BC-4, Macro-4, psych-5, biology-5, euro-4
ECs: Varsity XC
Varsity Track
Youth and gov (3 years)
Kaiser Hospital volunteer(4 years)-was "shift leader"-whatever
Eagle Scout(long time)
Math Tutor(2 years)
Volunteer Basketball coach for 7.8th grade girls(1 season)
Basketball/ Soccer Referee(3 years)
Awards:
AP Scholar w Distinction
National Merit Commened Scholar
Golden State Exam: Biology w/honors ( scored top 10% in state)
Golden State Exam: Geolmetry w/ honors(scored top 10% in state)
Golden State Exam: Spanish w/recognition( top 30%) =(
CSF Life Memeber(get like 3.4 +uw for 6 semesters)
Scholar Athlete(mantain 3.5+UW during sports season)</p>

<p>Got solid essays(for what its worth), good recs, and went to Cornell Summer School where Professor wrote me letter of recommendation

<p>I'd say you have a fairly good chance at Emory. You're GPA may be the only problem, but as long as you have something unique to show the adcoms you have a high chance.</p>

<p>SAT I/II scores and GPA might keep you out of Penn and Dartmouth. They just don't fit in well with the averages, unless you're disadvantaged or a recruited minority.</p>

<p>Toughest courses will help you, as will your very nice AP scores.</p>

<p>Pray for Cornell. I think you've got a great shot there.</p>

<p>man thanks for the fast responses! ummm.....yeah i want cornell badly...but just in case im taking sats IIc and I in January and December....i can prolly get 750+ for sat 1 math.....and maybe 800 for IIc(of course that's just guessing)</p>

<p>i'm pretty sure you're in at Emory. Like, 95%. I'm from around that area, so i know a lot of ppl who go there, and your stats match exactly. You seem to have good EC's too, and emory's rlly into that.<br>
