In years past, we have usually compiled a list of everyone's decision so that we could compare the hard stats side by side. What I have done here is put all the results in order from highest SAT/ACT score to lowest SAT/ACT score. (If an applicant supplied both, I use the higher of the two according to an SAT/ACT conversion chart. At the end, I also indicated if that particular applicant had any special hooks such as being an URM, First Gen, Athletic Recruit, or Legacy.

The results were compiled up through superscs15 for all who listed their stats along with their decisions on this ED results thread:

Wait. I’ll post again in a few minutes. There’s even more on that thread. I’m not sure why so many people decided to forego the official thread!

Actually, it’s very helpful looking backward from year to year… and what this tells me is what I thought from the beginning. It’s kind of a crapshoot beyond a certain point.

it’s weird that the % of acceptances on CC is similar to the overall ED acceptance rate. you would expect the rate to be appreciably higher on CC because a lot of posters have top academic qualifications, but I guess D doesn’t care about your grades and scores.

From what I am seeing, it seems that the majority of acceptances are minorities/first generation/international. And the majority of denials/deferrals are white. Maybe its just me but rejecting one majority to represent the minority is discrimination. Good thing I am now applying to a school who care a little more about what you can actually give to the community and not what your ethnicity says you can, and the school will actually listen to their alumni. My two close friends, both major donors said that they have never had a recommended student get less than deferred out of respect for the alumni, so D just lost 2 big donors who said they will never give D another dime for such disrespect by denying a qualified candidate with tangible community service, so that they could accept a jock or fulfill a pointless quota of diversity.
