hey everyone! i have one last question about the low quarters...exhausted topic, i know...sorry!

ok i bought the wrong kind- they're super shiny and don't need shining. i'm told that i can just save them for later use, and i don't plan on taking them to R-Day. but, the information booklet thing says to bring a pair of black shoes. do i bring them, since my low quarters are wrong? or will they just issue me some low quarters when i get there and not worry about the plain black shoes?

im pretty sure you'll be issued spits if you have the wrong pair or if you dont have a pair...it'll suck since it wont be broken in and you might wanna get a pair now even though there's only a week...but if not, you'll still get a pair over there.

pretty sure if you just show up with the clothes on your back and any pair of shoes on theyll take care of the rest. I've decided to just show up with hygeine and important paperwork. No low quarters, boots, or running shoes. i will bring a big smile though! :-D

mrgreenapple, you need to bring a pair of running shoes. I apologize for being so blunt, but in the booklets they gave us they make it very clear that they will not be issueing running shoes.

Does anyone have a link to a pic of the type of low quarters we should have? I recently bought a pair.... but I'm beginning to think they aren't the right type.

Look inside to see if they are patent leather or leather. Patent leather is trash. Are they sickening shiny? That should be a hint that you have the wrong ones as well.

Those look like the women's version of the shoe I got.

Should we shine them, or at least put a base layer on before we arrive? I figure I could save a little time by having some shine on them before I show up.
