shoes

can anyone fill me in on the brand of shoes that we are supposed to buy at aafes? i can get a pair from the jrotc teacher at my school, but i dont want to drive down to the nearest air force base to get some and i definitely dont want to show up with the wrong kind. the kind i can get are Bates brand leather oxfords.
heres a link...

are these them?

They look right, yeah, but I can't be 100% sure. Here's what the letter said:

"Oxford, Black Leather, Mildew Resistant; Non-Shiny (DSCP - key item #M206H; $43.15)"

Non-shiny and leather are both underlined, btw. Also, note that at an AAFES store, the shoes will be $43.15, while that website is selling them for $100+.

On the subject of shoes - I've started breaking mine in, and they seem to have gotten...I dunno, wrinkly. Noticeably so...this is normal, right?

Perfectly normal. Just make sure you can get them shiny enough to see your teeth in them and don't neglect the heels and sides. Mine have always had creases in the toes and I think that's the same with most everyone.

Great! That's a load off. Thanks, somexp.
