What happens with scholarships/merit money at UW Madison? I know that I am eligible for some, but I don't know if I have to apply or if I am automatically considered. My acceptance materials didn't really mention anything. Does Madison even have merit money? I know that I have the stats to be considered to get some money (#1 in class of 270, 2400 SAT, in-state)

Look at the indirect $ thread- don't expect the same aid from the school as from some other public U's but check out your local UW alumni club- all over the country.

OP, congrats on your admission! I hope you choose to attend UW.

You need to apply for scholarship separately.

While exists, four-year full scholarship is usually hard to come by. Good luck!

Remember to put UW as your top choice on the NM scholarship form- presume with those stats you are a NM finalist- to be eligible for one of those scholarships, also. Also, presuming you attend UW apply to the Honors program. And, you will not be the only student with a 2400 SAT at UW.
