imm assuiming if i wanna be a dentist, pharmacist, or chiropractor i do science?

A dentist is a doctor and so you would go pre-med. Pre-med is not a major, but a pre-professional degree. Although you can major in anything, biology is a popular major for someone in a pre-med program. Competition is very tough to get into med school.

A pharmacist is a special degree. I believe that you spend your first two years in an undergraduate school studying chemistry and then are accepted into a pharmacy school. (Not 100% sure on this) This is also very competitive.

I don't know about chiropractors, but they are not doctors, per se. The AMA (American Medical Association) does not recognize them. They have their own association.

Ahhh - thanks, Dufus.....I read your post pretty early this AM - I guess my coffee hadn't taken hold yet and my brain was still fogged in!

dggggggggggggggggg

ok, so why is it that everyone who doesnt seem to know much about psu says it doesnt mmatter based on the school, but every penn state family tells me im in? can someone enlighten me?

I don't know about legacy status at PSU. Penn State alumni really love the school and somehow legacy status there might be very important. However, there is a phenonmena among family and friends where they want to act like insiders with special powers. It is really annoying when your grandmother says that she can get you into Harvard because she knows somebody that went there.

yeah lol cause i was wondering. i teach a tennis class and 2 of the woemen know a psu family and said that i was an "auto in" so i was like ***, hhalf the ppl here tell me i have no chance, or a huge reach, etc.

bump................................................
