Shoot down my dreams of going to an Elite School please....

I was wondering what my chances are for getting into these particular schools:

Harvard
Stanford

Northwestern
Carnegie Mellon

University of Michigan
University of Illinois
Georgia Tech

Safety: Ohio State

PSAT (231)- I am a national merit semifinalist, hopefully finalist as well...

I did not make National Honor Society, I had the volunteer hours but I guess the teachers didn't like me or something. I'm also afraid that my teacher recommendations will not be very strong.

Thanks to everyone who responds.

bump...anyone there?

I have no idea, but it sounds like with your amazing scores you'll be fine for your semi-reaches. The 25-75 percentile for students at Northwestern are 1310-1480, and 1280-1480 for Mellon. shrugs I got owned by the essay too, yuck. As for your ECs, leadership roles might help, especially for your reaches. As with any college, there are always surprises when it comes down to who gets in and who doesn't. Work on whatever variables are still in your control...at this point pretty much just the essays. Good luck.

You have NO leadership and almost nothing outside of academics (other than tennis). Expect rejections from Harvard and Stanford.
Good luck

I agree... Harvard and Stanford aren't very realistic, but you certainly have a chance at the others.

haha, don't worry, I'm applying to Harvard and Stanford as well and my test scores aren't quite as high as yours. I have slightly better leadership/ extracurrics, and my school is more competetive, but I say you have a chance. Might as well try.
Good luck with all your apps :D
