Shooting at Univ. Alabama Huntsville (merged thread folds in Parents Cafe comments)

Oh, I did it!!! I see what I was missing – the slash sign. I was doing everything else but that! I just didn’t see the slash when I looked on the BB Code Guide. Thanks!

When I want to do italics, I highlight the word, then hit control i.

To bold, I highlight the word or phrase and hit control B.

Works for me.

Okay, please forgive me, but I need to see if:

this works

or

this works

Oh wow, got that to work, thanks!

Meanwhile, back to the topic . . . .

I would have loved to hear this conversation.

“A bomb…at your home…now…where your kids live”

or

" yes, we were separating water into hydrogen and oxygen for fun"

According to the article, there was no bomb, just some PVC piping that the police found suspicious and blew up.

I tried highlighting and hitting control b, etc. but it didn’t work. I suspect it’s because I’m on a Mac.

The following speaks for itself.

[Police: Amy Bishop denied role in Alabama massacre](http://www.bostonherald.com/news/national/south/view/20100323first_court_hearing_for_former_professor_amy_bishop/srvc=home&position=4)

It was her evil twin???

According to the article her Husband had a friend who lived in N.H. buy him the gun in 1989 because husband was having trouble with a neighbor. The friend bought the gun because there was no waiting period in New Hampshire at the time.

So the H knew all about the gun all the time.

She needs a few more courses in psych to pull off this defense. Faker.

I am waiting for a claim of dissociative identity disorder to pop up

Insisting she did not do it is probably so she can claim insanity?

Yes, jym 626, I too think this is exactly where the defense is headed.

jym626 and sax–dissociative identity disorder ----dumb it down please. Are we talking *Three Faces of Eve *stuff?

Should we not give up on Amy??? After all, Tiger licked sex addiction (in a matter of only weeks) and is back to being a productive member of society.

[Dissociative Disorders](http://psyweb.com/Mdisord/jsp/dissd.jsp) :)

She will probably get life in a locked facility for mentally ill criminals. Hopefully it will be three life terms and she won’t ever get out.

Or maybe someone will open a drive thru MH treatment express…

I wonder if that neighbor knows how close he came…

You think the same “personality” did the brother and the UAH shootings? Firing a shotgun at close range into your brother’s chest and multiple victim head shots with a pistol, near execution style, isn’t something most people could bring themselves to do. That is very up close and personal killing.

Ummmmm – Tiger didn’t kill anyone.

I don’t think she has multiple personality disorder (actually any disorder). I think they will claim “amnesia’ part of dissociative disorder. No recollection of the moments leading up to and after the shooting. However, I think she gave herself away getting into the police car that first day saying 'It didn’t happen; they are not dead”

My own personal out there thoughts…Gotta watch out for the husband. She will probably control his behavior from jail. He might continue to be her pawn.

Agree with sax…when I read about her claiming to not recall any of it, I immediately thought of what she said when getting into the police car after the shooting…and she said it didn’t happen and they are not dead. So, she did not “forget” that this incident occurred but was in some sort of denial.

I figure they will claim some sort of mental disorder, because after all, there is no question she was the murderer as it was witnessed. The thing is, anyone who does this sort of thing isn’t exactly mentally stable. If they were, they wouldn’t do this.

Also, the thing about the husband buying a gun due to difficulty with a neighbor…who thinks to buy a gun for that?? Nutso.
