I know I’m thinking ahead but I was wondering since I’m coming from out of state (Dallas,TX) should i buy clothes, school supplies, and other personal items at BC and the surrounding city or should i bring them with me from Dallas? I’m coming on a plane and there is a limit of baggage and I didn’t know if Chestnut Hill had stores that met the needs of college students. Thanks!

Word of advice from someone else who moved to college by plane: buy as much as you can here at BC. If you rent a car (or don't and take a taxi), you can find stores like Target, J Crew, Abercrombie, Bloomingdales, CVS, etc. within 10 minutes of campus. Even if you don't want to take a car, you can pay $2 for the T (which has a stop across the street from campus) and have easy access to Bed Bath and Beyond, Staples, Best Buy, etc. in the Fenway Area. Or take the T downtown (30 minutes) and go to the Copley or Prudential Malls for more upscale shopping.

You can find everything from bedding to lamps to notebooks to a TV to clothes within a short distance from campus.

yeah.. theres stuff all over the place around here. close target in watertown, best buy near fenway, amazing clothes shopping on newbury and in chestnut hill mall, cvs/walgreens in newton center for school supplies. with bed bath andn beyond and linens n things you can go to your store close buy and order what you want and have it available to be picked up at a store here. just go to store locators on the websites and put in the zip code!

whatever you do DONT buy the sheets and stuff from BC, the quality sucks.
