Shopping near Berkeley?

DRab, Barney's is a high-end department store for young urban professionals, sort of a hipper smaller Sacks (Sacks merchandise/taste sucks.)

On the subject of shopping at Berkeley, and beyond clothes:
-Berkeley has the best grocery store in North America, the Berkeley Bowl. No other store compares in terms of variety, freshness and prices
-Berkeley (and immediate vicinity) has the best group of wine stores in North America. Yes, even better than New York City's!
-Berkeley has the best collection of music stores in the west coast, along with SF
-Berkeley has the best collection of bookstores in the west coast, if not the US (except for NYC)

American Apparel!!

I don't know, CalX, I think food is more interesting than clothing. I'd be more excited if they got a Barney's Burgers. :)

"Formal for what? Internship interviews? Career fairs? Frat formals?"

How is each different? Please explain! Thanks!!

Interviews - err on the business formal side of things, unless you're interviewing for like a position at, say, the library (in which case you should still dress nicely). So full suiting for boys and girls, nice shoes

Career fairs - plenty of students show up in campus casual, since career fairs are held on regular school days. however, it doesn't hurt to look a little bit more cleaned up. Polos, button-ups, khakis...

Frat formals - Like prom, I guess, but not as prom-y. Boys are in suits, and girls wear dresses.

ewww to American Apparel. I'm not really into their stuff. no offense to anyone who love it btw;)

and ewww to Abercrombie. They are racists.

American Apparel looks great- the prices (and probably the labor) suck, but the simple clothing with no writing does rock. Abercrombie does suck though. And they don't carry the color black. Period.

what's the matter with Abercrombie?
