<p>Trust me, the dining dollars will go much further than just meals. At Commons and Trojan Grounds, there are a lot of "miscellaneous" foods and snacks. Pretty much every eating place besides EVK and Parkside has this kind of stuff. The microfridge is big enough to put a gallon of milk, a couple sodas, fruits, and then some. The freezer is pretty small, but you can put the small Haagen-Dazs ice cream containers they have at Commons and Trojan Grounds. And dessert from EVK.</p>
<p>There's a Ralphs both north and south of campus. The southern one on Fig is closer, but some people think it's really ghetto. I didn't mind too much last time I visited. I haven't been to the one on Vermont. There's also an Office Depot on Figueroa, "walking" distance (as defined by jessetfan).</p>
<p>I occasionally buy misc items at the bookstore because it's more convenient than going off campus, but it is more expensive.</p>
