<p>So I seem to have finished writing in all my extracurriculars in their section on the common app. However, my main one, Academic Decathlon, does not fit at all. I have lots of awards and other things to fit, but barely enough space to fit a quarter of it. I was wondering if I should talk about the rest of it in the elaborate short answer, or just in the additional info? I wanted to talk about this program anyways in the short answer. Should I concentrate on what I've done objectively there, or more on how its affected my development as a person and student over the years? I'm not really sure what direction I'm supposed to take on this section bleh.</p>
<p>Here’s just my personal preference: list the awards in the additional information section (while noting in the activity section that your awards are to be listed elsewhere so that whoever is reading your app will not overlook them), and write about what you have done as a part of academic decathlon and how it affected your development as a person in the short answer.</p>
