Alright, it says to describe an extracurricular activity. My Personal Essay encompasses my most prominent activity and focuses on its profound meaning to me as a striving person.

Do you think it would be alright if I elaborated on the specific accomplishments embodied by the activity (in the Short Answer) or should I instead instead focus on a different, less significant activity?

I don't want to appear redundant or appear to lack in depth. However, quite honestly, I lack a wide list of activities. My prime activity, dance, has consumed on average 8+ hours a week throughout my highschool years.

I think it would work if you talked about specific details in the short answer and then its effect on you in the personal statement. Especially since dancing is a pretty broad activity

My daughter, also a dancer, wrote about a different aspect of her life for her essay, but her supplemental essay for the college was largely related to dance. Then for her short answer she described her passion for dance, what it means in her life. She didn’t discuss any achievements here because they were already presented in list form under the EC list. Come to think of it, I think she added more about dance under Additional Information-what she planned to do after college. Her application did not come across one dimensional at all though.
