Short Answer Word Length Question! URGENT!

I have to send some apps off by tomorrow night.
For the common app. short answer question- "elaborate on one of your activities"- I exceeded not only the word limit but also the character limit (barely though).

I clicked "save and next" and it seems locked in and fine. If I send it, will some not be sent? Will colleges be ****ed? etc etc... is there a problem?

^ no idea… you sure you can’t shorten it a few characters?

nvm im not just a little bit over.
i have 1800 characters. it says “You cannot exceed 1500 characters.”

Bump! Please some advice!

MS Word says i have 1480 characters now, common app still says im over. screw it

I highly doubt it will make or break you

not sure how many words youre over, but if its a lot (like 20% or more) quite frankly it will probably hurt more than it will help. i seriously doubt those extra words are so crucial that it deserves to exceed the word limit and the patience of the adcoms.

At the end of the application it lets you see a Print Preview. When you do that you can see if it all fit in or if some of it got cut off. You can adjust the length accordingly.

hmm ive found that if its not EXACTLY 150 words, it won’t even let me print preview it as it says the application is “incomplete”…

is this correct? should i not be allowed to go over the 150 word limit AT ALL?
