Short answers

How long are short answers supposed to be?

bump.........

um

Well it depends on what application it is, how many lines of space are given, and how big your handwriting is....

for the deerfield application, talking in terms of how many words

Just write until that green line. Dont go past the green line. Mine was 130

bump. how many characters or words, approximately? sentences?

miss porter's had really long short essays...
they gave us a limit of 2500 characters,
but my short essays were like 670 characters.
is it really necessary to write 2000+ characters???
Because some of my LONG essays are like 3000 characters...

there was a short answer section for deerfield? ***?? i only see the essay...

k nvrmind i found it

St. Paul's had a 1500 character limit on the short answers...which is more than twice the limit of Choate's short answers haha. I have maybe 1000 characters for the St. Pauls, but only about 500 or so for Choates. I don't think it's necessary to write to the absolute limit, as long as you've said what you wanted to say succinctly and so it sounds like you. I don't think an admissions officer would want to read so much anyway (:

so it basically depends on the school

"Describe your recent involvement in sports (indicate years of play and honors received)"
Do we need to answer this question in paragraph form, or list form?
It's an online application, where there's just a box. And they never sent a paper appliation, so I dont know how much room they give me...

^what school is that for.. I think a list will do

what i f u dont play sports, do you leave it blank?
