I'm wondering that do people who take short calculus instead of calculus are at disadvantages? Because, personally, it seems like short cal or business cal are a lot easier than regular calculus classes. And, econ major is like math intensive, right? So, do you guys have any idea on that? Do you think someone who takes short cal should, at least, retake a calculus class before taking upper econ classes? I mean, is it necessary to have very strong calculus foundation in case that if they want to get all 'As' in UC eocn classes.

Im taking upper division econ classes at UCSD and the only one that is very calculus based is micro-economics. You should have a strong foundation of calculus before taking on any upper division econ courses. Usually whatever calculus classes are required as pre reqs will suffice.
